Machiavelli

Niccolo Machiavelli (1469-1527) was an Italian political philosopher. Cynical and tough-minded, he was called "the master of evil" by some of his contemporaries. He is now recognized as the father, or grandfather, of modern political science. His most famous work, The Prince, was the first great study of power politics.
